Photosynthesis is an annual photo show and sale held on Salt Spring Island for three weeks every summer and features a selection of work by Salt Spring photographers. This year’s show includes the work of 21 Photosynthesis members, two invited guest exhibitors, a sponsored student, and the Driftwood’s “A day in the life of Salt Spring Island”.
The result is an eclectic collection of subject matter, techniques and styles, befitting the eclectic nature of Salt Spring Island itself.
We hope you will come and enjoy the 2011 show which opens at 5pm on August 22nd and runs daily from 10am until 5pm to September 11th.
On Saturday, August 27th from 1 to 3pm, many of the photographers will be at Artspring for “Photo Speak” an opportunity for visitors to talk with the artists about their pictures.
And don’t forget to fill out your free raffle ticket for a chance to win a 20×30 inch matted photograph by Eric Onasick. The draw will be made on September 11th, the last day of the show.
